Interview with Cassandre Dayne

Breakfast Eye Candy

Jessica Brown had a daunting task, save her failing company, Dreams for Your Future Advertising. Unfortunately she had one shot to do it. Delicious Foods had tapped her small company for a campaign for the hottest selling condiment in America, Peach Bliss. The only trouble? She hated the sticky mess and had no slogan. As she ventured into the office one early morning, her fantasy man, and one she had never been able to approach, stood between her and the elevator, tempting her. Eric Gammon was chocolate in flavor and a sculpted God. He also was responsible for the maintenance on her office building and unattainable. Or was he?

Against all rationality, she blurted out her feelings. Stunned, he followed her into the lonely elevator and stopped its movement. Trapped, they explored a taste of their combined pent up desires and planned for the future. Using Eric to experiment exactly what the dazzling syrup could be used on, she garnered a wicked idea. Re-energized, Jessica tackled the account with flair. Everything was going smoothly until she realized that Eric’s ex, Stella, was none other than a top executive of Delicious Foods. Undaunted, she was more than ready for the tempting presentation involving an over heated room, some melting ice cream and a bit of the bubbly. That is until she realized Eric had lied and was going back to Stella. Crushed, she rallied and won the contract easily, but had she lost the man of her dreams?

1.         Tell us a little bit about yourself. How does your day go? What keeps you writing?

I have been writing since I was about ten with sixteen novels completed by the time I was sixteen, but real life set in and only started writing again seriously about two and a half years ago. I own two companies and also work with my brother’s firm so I am quite busy. I am an animal lover with two goldens! I love to write and the stories burn within me so it’s easy to sit down every free minute I get and write.

2.         What brought you to writing erotica? What do you love about it?

I love reading erotic and had a story idea and for some reason I really enjoyed it so I just kept writing. I can write erotic so fast and so many ideas come to me that I keep a pad and pen with me all the time.

3.         What are you working on now?

Oh boy – I have about ten books – very long ones that are completed and getting ready to pen my fourth m/m novella in the next couple of weeks. I also posed a slightly less erotic series using another pen name to my publisher and they are intrigued so I’m working on that series of books as well.

4.         What is your—or your character’s—favorite erotic book? Sexy movie? Sex toy?

Hmmm – I think I love my first one – Treats in a Plain Brown Wrapper about my real life UPS man – all dark chocolate and yummy who really does deliver me treats in plain brown wrapping for research. Of course!

5.         What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to do?

The top thing on your personal bucket list? Scuba diving in Australia and if my luck holds, I’m going to try and attend the Australian Romance Reader’s Association conference in 2013 and mix some diving in with that. I am certified but it’s been too long!

6.         What’s your personal romantic (or erotic) fantasy?

I have way too many and while I don’t indulge in everything I write about, I do enjoy the thought of a saucy little ménage.
